About
Born in Kingston Ontario in 1947 Sandra spent her formative years in west London Ontario, exploring the banks of the Thames River and roaming in the Carolinian forest. She graduated from University of Western Ontario with a degree in Sciences and Humanities. With a keen interest in cell biology, ecosystems, and a deep love of nature, she had the great fortune to live in the forest on a small lake near Algonquin Park during the years of nest building and raising three children (1973-1988). During this period she began formal studies in organic design, colour theory and fiber arts at Georgian College, and continued with her keen observation of the natural environment in which she was immersed.
Having returned to London, she is a self taught artist painting in her back garden studio close to Wortley Village. In 2009 the urge to paint overtook all else, and to this day she continues to follow her passion for painting.
